Routes, Privacy & Usage

How to assess a cross-border connection

Start by looking at how routes carry traffic, then consider whether the devices, apps, and billing options fit your needs. VPNHead brings these details together in one monitoring panel.

Judge peak-hour performance over time, not just by whether it connects

Peak-hour performance depends on your local network, the cross-border route, and the destination service. IEPL dedicated, relay, and direct routes follow different paths, so the region name alone won't tell you which is best. At the times you usually connect, try the pages, meetings, or videos you actually use and see whether access remains smooth; then keep the route that works for you. VPNHead offers several route types to choose from. Coverage figures don't mean every route performs the same at all times, and they aren't a guarantee of a fixed speed.

Regions & Routes

Popular regions and route preview

110+ countries / 250+ routes. The region determines the exit location; the route type describes the connection path. Consider both.

Start with your use case, then choose an exit

For everyday browsing, start with a route that meets the destination region's requirements. For work, meetings, or long sessions, check performance at the times you usually connect. A nearby exit won't suit every destination service, and the right region doesn't guarantee that an app will work. First rule out account permissions and issues with the destination service, then compare routes for a clearer picture.

IEPL dedicated routes use a dedicated-link path; relay routes connect through an intermediate node; direct routes connect straight to the exit. These labels describe route structure, not a fixed order of performance. Your local connection, ISP routing, and destination site can all affect the result. When switching routes, keep the app and task the same, and avoid changing routing rules at the same time so you can tell what made the difference.

Route Status Reference

The component below shows reference information from the route status monitor. Choose a route based on your local network and actual access to the destination app; a single reading isn't a guarantee of sustained performance.

Device Setup

Get clients and subscriptions

Get clients and subscriptions from the user panel. Check your device platform first, then import the subscription using the guide and test the connection.

Windows

Sign in to get the client and subscription. After importing, check the system proxy and rule mode.

Get the Client

macOS

Sign in to get the client and subscription. Follow the system prompts to grant access on your first connection.

Get the Client

Android

Sign in to get the client and subscription. After connecting, check your system's background-app settings.

Get the Client

iOS

An active plan is required to access the client download for iOS. Sign in to get your subscription from the user panel.

Get the Client

Linux

Sign in to get the client and subscription. Follow the guide to check proxy and network permissions.

Get the Client

Sign in to download clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux; you don't need to buy a plan first. Accessing the iOS client requires an active plan. Client downloads and route access are separate steps. Check your subscription status and remaining data in the user panel. Marketing pages don't link directly to installers or subscription URLs, helping avoid outdated links saved across different pages.

Once imported, update your subscription, select a route, and open the destination app. If your browser works but another app doesn't, check whether that app follows the system proxy and whether routing rules cover its requests. Don't share your subscription or show its full contents in screenshots. For steps and expected results, see the setup guide.

Choose a Plan

Monthly Plans & Data Packages

Choose a billing option based on how often you use the service, then select a data allowance that fits your needs. Unlimited devices can be connected at once.

Monthly plans suit ongoing use, with data reset each month on the activation date. Before choosing, review usage across your current devices and consider everyday browsing, file transfers, and video streaming separately. More devices don't necessarily mean higher data use; continuous streaming and large file transfers matter more. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated by the remaining days. Check your account status in the user panel.

Monthly Plan

60GB

¥9.9/ month

A good fit for lighter use focused on web browsing and text-based tools. Check your actual usage first to see whether you need a larger allowance.

Monthly Plan

250GB

¥18/ month

A good fit for everyday browsing plus streaming or file transfers. Whether the allowance is enough depends on what you access and for how long.

Monthly Plan

500GB

¥28/ month

A good fit for frequent streaming or substantial file transfers. A larger data allowance doesn't guarantee a fixed speed or access to a destination service.

For occasional use, consider a data package

¥158 / 300GB · ¥358 / 1000GB · ¥658 / 3000GB

Data packages last until the allowance is used and never expire, making them a good fit for irregular use that's hard to estimate month by month. The main difference from a monthly plan is how billing and data usage work, so don't compare them by price alone. Monthly plans reset each month; data packages draw down from the remaining allowance. Consider both how often you connect and how you want to manage your data. You don't need a larger plan just because you use more devices.

Pay with Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Before paying, check the plan type, data allowance, and order details. After payment, return to the user panel to confirm the status, then get your subscription. If you have a question about an order, keep the relevant records and contact support through a ticket. Don't share payment details on public pages.

Account, connection & refund FAQs

Get the answer first, then find out what to do next. For configuration and troubleshooting, see the support pages.

Do I need an email address to create an account?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Keep your login details safe, use a unique password, and don't reuse a password from another site. In the user panel, you can check your plan and get the client and subscription. Don't share account details or subscription contents publicly. Creating an account doesn't mean you have an active plan; check your subscription status before using a route.

Does unlimited devices mean unlimited data?

You can connect unlimited devices at once, but data usage depends on your plan. Monthly plans include a set data allowance that resets each month on the activation date; data packages last until the allowance is used and never expire. Device count and data allowance are separate. If you use multiple devices, monitor usage in the user panel and configure routing appropriately on each one.

The route says connected. Why can't I use the destination app?

“Connected” means the client has established a connection; it doesn't guarantee that every request from the destination app follows the intended route. Check that the system proxy or network routing is enabled, then review your routing rules, exit region, and the app's account requirements. If only one app has a problem, start with its settings. If all access is affected, try another route and check your local network. When submitting a ticket, describe what you're seeing rather than simply saying “it doesn't work” to make troubleshooting easier.

Where do I get the client? What do I need for iOS?

Get both the client and subscription from the user panel. Sign in to download for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux; an active plan is required to access the iOS client. Start from “Get the Client” on this page, then follow the guide for your platform. After importing the subscription, update the route list and test access. Installing the client doesn't mean setup is complete.

What is the refund policy, and how can I get help?

7-day refunds. See the Terms of Service for eligibility and instructions. If you need help, sign in to the user panel and submit a ticket. Include your device platform, route, affected app, and any error message to help identify whether the issue is with your setup, the route, or the destination service. Hide your password, full subscription details, and payment information in screenshots to protect your account.

Route Basics & Usage Guides

Clear explanations of the concepts, devices, and use cases.

Choosing a subscription service involves more than comparing coverage figures. You also need to understand how subscriptions get into a client, how route types affect the connection path, and how rule mode determines which requests use cross-border access. The articles below cover different questions: new users can start with the terminology and setup steps, while users who are already connected can compare home-network setups and AI tool access requirements.

For a more detailed checklist, read the cross-border network service buying guide. It covers route types, billing models, device use, and support boundaries, helping you distinguish verifiable facts from experiences that need to be tested. When comparing services, note your use case and budget, then check the terms and how to access the service. That's more useful than relying on speed claims in marketing copy.
